Biography

Caroline Degroiselle was born in Paris and, at a very young age, moved to Nouméa in New Caledonia, on the opposite side of the world from France.

Immersed in the warmth and vibrant colors of her island and the lagoon, Caroline draws from it her creative strength, her joy of living, the brightness of her palette, her emotional intensity, and the breadth of her gestures. A self-taught artist, she possesses the charm of a freedom that transforms reality.

In 1984, Caroline held her first exhibition in Nouméa, offering her work to the Caledonian public. Her highly personal style quickly caught the attention of art professionals.
A great traveler, Caroline has exhibited—and continues to exhibit—regularly in Europe and around the world.
